THE JOB
When employees get injured on the job, our Nurse Case Managers swing into action to get them the very best, most personalized care and back to work faster than the national average. This position is ideal for hospital or in-office nurses looking for independence, flexible hours and a new way to apply their compassion and skill sets.
This role is in-house 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, with the possibility of working remotely one or two days a week once fully trained.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll telephonically assess, plan, implement and coordinate all case management activities associated with an injured employee
You’ll coordinate and assure proper delivery and oversight of medical and disability services
You’ll perform pre-certification process for prescribed treatment by gathering relevant data through clinical interviews with the injured worker, provider(s), and employer
You’ll assess and identify barriers to recovery
You’ll plan a proactive course of action to enhance the injured employee's short and long-term outcomes
You’ll determine goals, objectives, and potential alternatives to care for the injured worker
You’ll evaluate patient’s treatment plan and coordinate proper delivery of medical and rehabilitative services using cost containment strategies
You’ll provide medical and disability education
You’ll assist employers with the development of transitional, sedentary, or modified job duties based on the injured worker's functional capacity
You’ll monitor, evaluate, and document case management activities and outcomes including, but not limited to: case management approaches, over/under utilization, inappropriate care, effective treatment, permanent or temporary loss of function, failed or premature return to work, non-compliance
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing a plus)
Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of New York
